Principal of Brentwood Elementary
Sep 08, 2021 12:00 PM
As Principal, I would like to welcome each and every one of you to Brentwood Elementary School. Brentwood is a neighborhood school and is the home of the “Superstars.” Our campus has been recently renovated and is just beautiful with new vibrant colors. Our superstar pride begins with our hard-working students, staff, parents, and community. We are a school community with a focus on academic excellence, character development, social emotional learning, and community involvement. Here at Brentwood we have incorporated Thinking Maps in our learning, embraced the philosophy of Civility Squad, Sanford Harmony, CASEL and Positivity Project to develop our character, and involved our community in multiple avenues through our PTO, which was recognized with the State of Florida Award for 2012 Parent Involvement, Innovative Project of the Year. As we continue to work with and through the requirements of the district and state through this COVID pandemic, Brentwood has big plans to meet the needs of your child. We have a well-developed social emotional program, access to mental health services, and have reinvested in Thinking Maps, a cognitive learning program designed to marry all subjects to writing to enhance student understanding. We have also established a leadership team to analyze student data and collaborate to best meet the academic needs of all students. We are so proud of all that we do here at Brentwood. Welcome back to all of our Superstar families. If you are not currently part of the Brentwood family, come by and take a look; you just might be the next Superstar! |

I look forward to joining and sharing more about Town Square. My partner and I have just completed construction of this 11,000sf, 1950's-themed senior day care center in Palmer Ranch, with more locations on the way. The interior looks like a 1950's main street with a diner, theater, city hall, library etc, and even a 1957 Thunderbird in the park at the center of the building. We will be caring for seniors from 830-430 mon-fri, giving relief to families/caregivers of seniors with Alzheimers/dementia.
Fox broadcast live nationally from our opening last week - here is that news piece for more context (click on the link):
Here is the Herald Tribune article from early this year before construction started:
If you are joining us in person at Gecko's, please come 10 - 15 minutes early to place your order. Zoom Meeting
