Bert West of Divide, Colorado, USA, was elected to a one-year term as vice president of Kiwanis International at a July special meeting held in lieu of the 2020 Kiwanis International Convention. He was elected as a trustee of Kiwanis International in 2016. Bert will serve as president of Kiwanis in 2022-23.

An active, third-generation member of more than 32 years, Bert is proud to advocate for clubs and members and focuses on promoting growth at all levels of Kiwanis. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ute Pass-Woodland Park, where he has served three terms as club president, two terms as division lieutenant governor and one term as governor of the Rocky Mountain District.

Bert is a Walter Zeller Fellow; Hixson Fellow; and Lusche Fellow. He also is a member of his home club’s Ute Pass Hall of Fame.

Outside of Kiwanis, he has spent his business career in the roofing industry. He sits on the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado.

He and his wife, Sandy, have two daughters, both of whom are members of Kiwanis clubs. Bert always has Ace “The Wonder Dog” by his side.
